something in the air

Suddenly,  all I want to do is dip things in gold and weave bright things together.    A creative spark is  a wonderful wonderful thing.

Jack frost aint such a bad dude.

I guess I've learned to embrace winter in all its annoyances.    Well I guess it sure helps things that we've had the most amazingly,  sunny,  warmish winters  here in southern Canada.   In truth Im surprised its almost March!  I know,  weather talk is always kinda boring but really,  It effects us all.     But all in all I am not to judge a day by its weather.  Rather,  everyday is new and bursting with potential.

An artist

My Zachary who is 10 in a week has an amazing eye and an admirable patience for creating things.  This is an arm piece of a costume he made for his brother.  I think it's an incredible piece of art...he says its a missile launcher.  Either way,  it's awesome.

Beautiful

These are images of the drawings of artist John Franzen.  Man o man.  His work is so lovely.  Simple single lines, starting from one vertical line,  and through the process,  imperfections,  bumps and nudges create a rippling,  wave,  moving fabric like,  silky image.   This is just so great in the terms of rolling with the punches.  But wow,  what a maddening process, those line drawings.  Almost like knitting.....almost. only if you just "went with it" like knitting... yer socks would be wonky.

perhaps the biggest reason john franzens art jumped at me is because ive been captivated with taking pictures of light through curtains.   True love.
